William Hall

January 29, 1951 — March 11, 2011

GILBERTSVILLE - Charles W. Shuttz Sr., 88, of Gilbertsville died Friday at Marshall County Hospital in Benton.

He was a machinist with U.S. Steel Company and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Briensburg United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Louise Sipe Shuttz; two daughters, Deborah Krueger of Campbell Hall, N.Y., and Donna J. Ackermann of Lafayette, La.; one son, Charles W. Shuttz Jr. of Fort Myers, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Shuttz was preceded in death by one brother. His parents were Charles F. Shuttz and Mary Mountain Shuttz.

Services will be at 7 p.m. today in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home in Benton. The Revs. Bill Lawson and Charles Westfall will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, Ind.
