EDDYVILLE - Wilba Lee Adams Keene, age 83, of Eddyville, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 29, 2011, at 6:10 a.m. at Lourdes hospital.
Born in Whitley City, Ky., Wilba was a licensed practical nurse and had worked at Mills Manor Nursing Home in Mayfield, and Western Baptist Hospital. Wilba was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Reidland, and the Eastern Star at Folsomdale, Ky.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, F. Joseph Keene; one sister, Louise Davis, and her husband Bill, of Paducah; a nephew, Michael Davis; and niece, Marsha Davis; along with several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wilba was preceded in death by a son, Daryl Calen Johnson; and a brother, Austin Reed. Her parents were Odell and Ada C. Thompson Adams.
A celebration of the life of Wilba Lee Adams Keene will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will take place in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may visit with the family from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
