GRAND RIVERS - Vonda Lee Hays, age 64, of Grand Rivers, Ky., formerly of Paducah, died at 11:35 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
She was a member of Altona Baptist Church in Calvert City, Ky., and had worked at Patti's Inns and Suites in Grand Rivers before her illness.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jimmy Hays. She was a well-loved mother to her daughter, Kimberly Brandstetter and husband Shawn of Smithland, Ky.; and her son, Keith Hays and wife Kimberly of Paducah, Ky.
She is also survived by three sisters, Marcie King of Louisville, Ky., Debbie Jackson and husband Michael of Paducah, Ky., and Tracy Byrd and husband Roger, also of Paducah, Ky. Two brothers, Alfred King and wife Nancy and Charles King and wife Sheila, all of Paducah. Two grandchildren, Weston Brandstetter of Smithland, Ky., and Zachary Hays of Paducah, Ky.
Vonda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Melodine "Betty" Peck King.
Funeral services for Vonda Hays will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2010, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Rev. Roger Rice will officiate; burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2010, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
