Veatrice Scott

Veatrice Scott, 82, of Paducah died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday at Western Baptist Hospital.
She was a cook for Care Bears Nursery. She was a member of Enoch Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she served as Sunday school superintendent and on the Mother's Board, Usher Board, Church Choir, Missionary Society, and the Culinary Arts Committee. She was a member and president of the Interdenominational Union Choir and a former member of the Golden Tones. She was a member and past Matron of Queen Esther Chapter No. 4, Order of the Eastern Star, P.H.A.; Past Loyal Lady Ruler of Paducah Assembly #92, Order of the Golden Circle; Past State Grand Loyal Lady Ruler, Jurisdiction of Kentucky; and a member of Balkis Court 156, Daughters of Isis, the McCracken County Homemakers, and the Paducah/McCracken County Chapter of the NAACP.
She is survived by two sons, Rev. Curtis A. Kittrell of Memphis, Tenn., and Joseph T. Scott Jr. of Bowling Green; one daughter, Rosa M. Scott of Paducah; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Scott Sr.; her parents, Rufus Neece and Rosa Parham Neece; and one son, Clarence Kittrell.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Enoch Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 900 N. 10th St., Paducah. The Rev. Mark Chapman will officiate, with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Eastern Star and Order of the Golden Circle Rites will begin at 6 p.m.
