Services for Berylnn N. Tucker, 90, of Murray will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel in Paducah, Ky. The Revs. Ann Marie Monygomery and Kerry Lambert will officiate.
She died at 2:25 a.m. Saturday, June 9,2007, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Tucker was born in La Center, Ky. on July 29, 1916. Mrs. Tucker was a graduate of Ballard County High School and the Draughn's Business College in Paducah Ky. She worked with the Federal Government with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Famouth, Ky., and also in Paducah, Ky. She also worked with the U.S. Department of H.U.D. in Jackson, Miss. Mrs. Tucker also worked with the Social Security Administration in Louisville, Ky., and worked with Green River Area Development District in Owensboro, Ky. For most of working life, Mrs. Tucker was the owner and manager of Office Personnel Employment Agency in Paducah, Ky. for 14 years. She was a charter member of the Eta Pi Kappa National Sorority, Nu Chapter. She also volunteered for the Murray Calloway County Seniior Citizens working with the telephone reassurance program for eight years. Mrs. Tucker was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Murray, Ky. She served as the Executive Secretary for the Paducah Centennial of 1956.
Surviving are one son, Lowoll Kenneth "Kenny" Tucker Jr. and wife, Judy, of Murray Ky.; one grandson, Kevin Lowell Tucker and wife, Erin, of Paducah, Ky.; one great-grandchild, Owen Wade Tucker of Paducah Ky.; and special friends, the Glenn Vanderpool family of Bowling Green, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Kenneth Tucker; and one brother, Bishop Northington. Her parents were Roscoe Owen and Ethal Ewell Northington.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2007 at J. H. Churhill Funeral Home and from noon until the service hour Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel.
