BOAZ - Tom England, 83, of Boaz, Ky., passed away Friday, January 7, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services for Tom will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Brown Grover officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Tom was born June 28, 1927 to John Thomas and Beulah (Jordan) England in Dyer, Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ and spent his life working as a carpenter and contractor who also loved to farm.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Marie (Perry) England; four sons, Thomas J. England Jr. of Clarkston, Washington, Ralph O. England and wife Lorraine of Ontario, California, Michael E. England and wife Alicia of Eddyville, Ky., and Paul C. England of Paducah; three sisters, Juanita Hall of Alma, Arkansas, Magnolia Dossett of Virginia Beach, and Virginia and Dorothy Beene of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Ferrel England of El Sobrantay, California, Wayne England and wife Jeanne of Red Oak, Texas and Herman England and wife Paulette of Obella, Texas; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by one brother, Frank England.

Visitation for Tom will be from 2 until 4 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
