Sarah Frances Brewington, age 85, of Mayfield passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Green Acres Health Care.
She was a member of Pryorsburg Baptist Church and a former member of Gospel Tones singing group. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Brewington is survived by her husband of 65 years, J.W. Brewington of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Kim (Kelly) Hutchins of Mayfield KY and two brothers; James Legate of South Fulton, TN and George (Charlene) Legate of Cuba, KY.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Nathan Legate and her parents Goble and Nora Legate.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield. Rev. Marshall Ivey and Rev. Bill Mason will officiate. Interment will follow at Mayfield Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Tibbs, Rex Allen Canter, Kenneth McCormack, Steve Legate, Phil Legate and Eddie Rogers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gene Hayden, Jo Mulllins, Aubrey Prince, Tom Andreason, Gayle Clapp and Charles Williams.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the funeral home.
