METROPOLIS, Ill. - Robert Leon Grimes Jr., 55, of Metropolis died at 8:35 a.m. Friday at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.
Mr. Grimes was of the Christian faith.
Surviving are his wife, Debbie Winters Grimes; one sister, Alice Grimes of Kentucky; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Grimes Sr. and Wilma Richardson Grimes.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with David Rhodes officiating.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Project Hope, P.O. Box 125, Metropolis, IL 62960.
