Ralph P. Moore, 93, formerly of Paducah, Ky., died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa, Ky.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel with Mr. Andy Clausen officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post No. 31. Entombment will immediately follow.
Mr. Moore served in the U.S. Navy as a Ship's Cook Second Class during World War II. He was a longtime member of Broadway Church of Christ. Mr. Moore loved to garden and read.
He is survived by two sons, Raymond Moore and wife Linda of Eddyville, Ky., and Gary Moore and wife MaryAnn of Lexington, Ky.; one brother, Winfield "Scotty" Moore of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Ashley Reid and husband Dale of Murray, Ky., John Philip Moore and wife Jada of Murray, Ky., Meridith Moore-Zwart and husband Eric of Lexington, Ky., and Brandon Moore of Lexington, Ky.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Louise (Lewis) Moore; his parents, Winfield Scott and Maddie (Heflin) Moore; one son, Richard Philip Moore; one sister; and two brothers.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
