Naomi Gossum

Naomi Lee Gossum, age 96, of Mayfield, KY died at 7:30 PM Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Green Acres Healthcare Facility in Mayfield, KY. Naomi was a retired dispatcher from the West Kentucky Rural Electric Company and was of the Baptist Faith.

She was the daughter of the late Chester and Duffie (Myatt) Hopkins.

She is survived by:
Sons - Jeff (Pam) Gossum of Mayfield, KY and Joe Dan Gossum of Marietta, GA
Step-Son - Douglas Gossum of Mayfield, KY
Sister - Murl Sisson of Wingo, KY
3 Grandchildren - Cathy Taylor Collins of Owesnboro, KY; Terrel (Lorrie) Taylor of Monticello, IL; Nicholas Gossum of Denver, CO

3 Great-Grandchildren: Taylor (Shelby) Collins of Owensboro, KY; Chad Taylor of St. Paul, MN; Derek Taylor of Monticello, IL.

She was preceded in death by:
Husband - Willard Gossum
Daughter - Don Ann Taylor
Son - Greg Gossum
Sister - Mildred Gray


Arrangements are being handled by R. D. Brown Funeral Home, 1223 West Broadway, Mayfield, KY 42066. Graveside Service will be held at Mayfield Memory Gardens on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Ray Bowles officiating. Friends may call after 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the funeral home.
