Michael "Alex" Mawdsley, 40, of Paducah, formerly of Metropolis, Ill., died Thursday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Cody officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
He was a 1988 graduate of Massac County High School, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a self-employed driver for Yates Delivery. He was a member of Grace Church International in Paducah.
He is survived by his wife, Ashlee Townsend-Mawdsley; his mother, Susan Speckman of Paducah; his grandmother, Margaret Hawkins; four children, Kayla Mawdsley-Robertson, and Brianna, Erin and Jacob Mawdsley; one sister; one niece; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Michael Mawdsley; his grandparents, Walter and Ruth Mawdsley, and Clifford Hawkins; and his stepfather, Dale E. Speckman.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home with Masonic rites beginning at 7 p.m.
