Mary Ann Peavler, 72, of Paducah, died Thursday, December 20, 2012, at 5:15 p.m. at Lourdes Hospital.
Mary Ann was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church, member of church choir, praise team and directed second grade choir. She served as church financial secretary for ten years and was a member of Bridgebuilders Sunday School Class. Mary Ann served as secretary at Paducah Bank to Cloyd Barriger, volunteered in the accounting division of the Lions Club Telethon for 33 years, and was volunteer at the Carson Center for seven years.
She spent many hours working in the banner ministry at church and at Lone Oak High School, sewing and designing the banners for parades as well as banners used in many of the special church services.
Survivors include husband of forty-seven years, Joe Peavler of Paducah; two daughters, Laura E. (John) McDonald of Hopkinsville and Amye Parimore of Jackson, Tenn.; one sister, Betty (Jim) Shelton of Granger, Ind.; and four grandchildren, Connor McDonald, Caelan McDonald, Rielly McDonald and Sydney Parimore.
Preceding in death were her parents, John Kasper & Norma Settle Kasper; and stepmother, Era Hardin Kasper.
Services will be held Friday, December 28, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Lone Oak First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Williams and Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Thursday, December 27, 2012, after 5 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah and after 9 a.m. Friday at Lone Oak First Baptist Church until funeral hour of 11 a.m.
The family would like to invite all choir members and former choir members of the Lone Oak First Baptist Church to meet at the church Friday at 10 a.m. for a rehearsal for the funeral service.
