Mary Ballew

Mrs. Mary G. Ballew, age 80, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.

She was a member of Rozzell Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a member of the church's Ladies Aide Group and a retired employee of General Tire & Rubber Company.

Mrs. Ballew is survived by one daughter, Mary "Evie" (Philip L.) Elder of Fancy Farm, KY; four grandchildren, Philip L. (Jen) Elder II of Fancy Farm, KY, Tracy E. (Steven) Curlin of Fancy Farm, KY, Ryan Ballew of Mayfield, KY and Lee (Chanda) Ballew of Lynnville, KY; and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Ballew; one son, Kenneth H. Ballew; six brothers, Paul Guderian, Fred Guderian, T.R. Guderian, Charles Guderian, Olin Guderian and Mitch Capps; three sisters, Dorothy Shell, Jeanette Wilson and Alice Pierce; and her parents, Henry Edward and Mary Clarice Guderian.

Graveside services for Mrs. Mary G. Ballew will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Mayfield Memory Gardens. Grandson, Lee Ballew will officiate. Interment will follow.

Pallbearers will be Denzil Wilson, Stanley Clapp, Philip Elder II, Steven Curlin, John William Clapp and Mason Clapp. Honorary pallbearers will be Philip Elder, Sr., William Clapp and Ryan Ballew.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 and 8:00 - 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY .
