Lula Bundren

November 22, 1922 — June 22, 2011

Lula Mae Bundren, 88, of Paducah, surrounded by her loving family, passed away at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and was the former owner/operator of Country Flea Market.

She is survived by a son, George "Cabbage" (Madonna) Bundren of Paducah; two daughters, Barbara (the late Kenneth) Burgess of Beulah and Wilma (Darrell) Hopkins of Calvert City; eight grandchildren, Ginger Binkley, Eddie Bundren, Vickie Frazier, Linda Stone, Michael Hopkins, Tammy Hopkins, Brian Hopkins and Mary Dejarnette; sixteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Lydia Coursey Wilkins; her husband, Freddie Bundren Sr.; a son, Freddie Bundren Jr.; siblings, Leota Springer, Juanita Wilkins, W.J. Wilkins, Charlie Wilkins, Andrew Wilkins and infant twins; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. The Rev. Charles Frazier and the Rev. Steve Gorham will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the funeral home.
