Kenneth R. Myers, age 78, died at 3:48 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Kenneth was born September 6, 1935, in Marion, Ky., to the late William Louis Myers and Hazel May Hayes Myers. He retired from Western Baptist Hospital, where he worked in the maintenance department. Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and got to see all three of his sons serve in the U.S. Navy. His son, Donald, passed away while serving during Desert Storm. Kenneth loved to bowl, feed and watch the hummingbirds, and feeding raccoons. He and his late wife, Joanne Kathryn Myers, who died in May of this year, were married for 56 years.

Kenneth is survived by two sons, Michael Myers and wife Missy of Marion, Ky., and John Myers and wife Beth of Lone Oak, Ky.; one sister, Hazel Lee Ford of Portage, Ind.; three brothers, Delmar Myers of Portage, Ind., Wayne Myers of Sullivan, Ky., and J.D. Myers of Marion, Ky.; four grandchildren, Emily and Kaitlyn Myers of Marion, Ky., Chip and Luke Myers of Lone Oak, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death were his wife, Joanne Myers; one son, Donald Myers; parents, William Louis and Hazel Myers; one sister, Jean Aguilera; and one brother, William Myers.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2013, at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
