MAYFIELD, Ky. - J.R. Ward, 78, of Mayfield died Friday at his home.
Mr. Ward was a member of First Baptist Church in Mayfield, a member of Mayfield Masonic Lodge No. 369, a U.S. Army veteran, a retired employee of the Merit Clothing Company in Mayfield and a retired self employed television repairman.
Surviving are one sister, Geneva Parsley of California and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife , Dorothy Lewis Ward and 11 brothers and sisters. His parents were B. and Carrie Hughes Ward.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Byrn Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Burial will be at Mayfield Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
