BOAZ - Joe Peeler, 71, of Boaz died Monday at Western Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Peeler retired from Westlake Chemical in Calvert City. He was a Mason and a member of Operating Engineers Local 181 and United Aerospace Workers.
Surviving are one son, Donald Peeler of Boaz; two daughters, Pamela Green of Cleveland, Tenn., and Connie Sill of Lone Oak; one brother, Jimmie Peeler of Boaz; two sisters, Judy Cooper of Kevil and Deborah Chapman of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Peeler; one son, Ronald Peeler and one sister. His parents were Forrest and Dorothy Peeler.
Services will be at noon Thursday at Roth Funeral Chapel, with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
