Joanne Kathryn Myers, age 74, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Lourdes hospital at 9:45 p.m.

Joanne was born August 23, 1938, in Dallas, Texas, to Willard and Bernice Michaels. She has lived in several different places, but called Paducah her home for the past thirty-five years. She was of the Catholic faith and worked in nursing as a Nurse's Aide. She loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her sons and husband were all military veterans, three served in the United States Navy and one in the United States Army. Her son Donald passed away while serving during Desert Storm. Joanne was an avid bowler and enjoyed competing in several leagues. She also loved to feed and watch the hummingbirds and cardinals around her home. She and her husband Kenneth have been married for fifty six years.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Myers of Boaz; her sons, Michael and wife Missy Myers of Marion, John and wife Beth Myers of Paducah; her brother, Eugene Michaels of Georgia; and her grandchildren, Emily and Kaitlyn Myers of Marion, Chip and Luke Myers of Lone Oak.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Barce and Bernice Katherine Haas Michaels; and her son, Donald R. Myers.

A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, May 26, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Rev. Curtis Franklin will officiate.
