Herman Seavers, Jr.

Mr. Herman Seavers, Jr. age 89, of Mayfield, passed away at 11:45 A.M. Wednesday, December 11, 2009 at his residence. He was a member of South First Street Baptist Church, retired from the maintenance department at General Tire and Rubber Co. and a U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by one son; Tony (Debra) Seavers, Mayfield, one sister; Barbara Campbell, Memphis, two grandchildren; Amy (Corey) Elliott, Cunningham, Jacob (Teresa) Seavers, Mayfield, three half sisters, thirteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren - Aaron (Christal) Ellegood, Brian Madding and Shianna (Jason) Madding Mardis. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mary Catherine Seavers, parents; Herman and Othelia Sanderson Seavers, Sr., three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Rev. Glen Holifield officiating. Interment will follow in the Mayfield Memory Gardens with Military Graveside rites conducted by the American Legion Post # 26. Friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Saturday at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.
