Grace Naomi Roberts Fortune, 89, of Paducah died at 11:26 a.m. Wednesday at Western Baptist Hospital.
A native of Houghton, Michigan, she was a homemaker and a member of the homemakers club. She was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the guild.
She is survived by two sons, Manley Bennett Fortune Jr. and wife Emily of Kernersville, N.C., and Bruce Robert Fortune and wife Karen of Knoxville, Tenn.; one daughter-in-law, Terri Sills Fortune of Paducah; eight grandchildren, John Fortune and wife Elizabeth, Michelle Fortune Carlson and husband Corey, Jill Fortune, Amanda McCarter and husband Josh, Adam Fortune, Miranda Fortune, Timothy Fortune and McCain Fortune; and four great-grandchildren, Chloe and Mark Fortune, and Lestat and Gabriel McCarter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William John and Elizabeth Johnston Roberts; her husband, Manley Bennett Fortune Sr.; one son, Bennett William Fortune; two brothers, Kenneth and Jack Roberts; and four sisters, Ruth Jackson, Florence VanDyke, Charlotte Turk and Myrtle Royale.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Terry M. Sills officiating. Emtombment will follow in the mausoleum.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Roth Funeral Chapel from 5 until 7 p.m.
