Gaylon Freeman

Mr. Gaylon Freeman, age 89, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, IL.

He was a member of Spence Chapel United Methodist Church, a retired employee of Wheeler – McClain Ford in Mayfield, KY and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mr. Freeman is survived by one daughter, Theresa (Chuck) Fuller of Mayfield, KY; one granddaughter, Meredeth Lortie of Lexington, KY; one brother, Delmar Freeman of Owensboro, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Treas Freeman; three brothers, Raymond Freeman, Leslie Freeman and Jamie Freeman; four sisters, Lillie Baker, Layla Juliet, Marie Barnes and Velta Feezor; and his parents, John and Mary Freeman.

Funeral services for Mr. Gaylon Freeman will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Roger Joseph will officiate.  Interment will follow at Mayfield Memory Gardens.  Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the funeral home.
