Everlena Hamilton

Saturday, January 23 2010 Services for Everlena Arnold Hamilton of Paducah will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Washington Street Baptist Street with Rev. Raynarldo Henderson officiating. Entombment will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Everlena Hamilton Mrs. Hamilton died at 1:26 a.m. Thursday at Western Baptist Hospital. A native of Henderson, Tennessee, she attended the schools of Huntingdon, Tennessee, and was a graduate of the nursing school in Michigan City, Indiana. She has been a member of Washington Street Baptist Church for twenty-four years, where she served as an usher and director of the children's usher board. She was a retired employee of Lourdes Home Care and a former member of the Eastern Star, a former director of Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club, and a former coordinator of West Kentucky Girls Dormitory. She was a member of the Paducah Ambassadors, Paducah Police Auxiliary, Friends of Delta, president of Church Women United and president of PAMPER, INC. She was preceded in death by her husband of ten years, Martin Hamilton; one sister, Flora Mae Arnold Allen; one brother, Eugene Arnold; one nephew; and one niece. Surviving are three stepchildren, four grandchildren, three nieces and six nephews, 11 great-nieces, and nine great-nephews. Mundy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
