Dorothy Boaz Goforth, 88, of Paducah passed away at 12:07 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah and the owner of Boaz Shoe Store & Repair.

Mrs. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Janice Faye Hymer and husband Bill of Paducah and Brenda Kaye Funk and husband David of Paducah; two sons, John Boaz Jr. and wife Jacqueline of St. Louis and James Boaz of Paducah; four grandchildren, Debra Hymer, Christy Jeffords, David Funk Jr., and Tiffany Kring; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John David Boaz; her second husband, Harry Goforth; a grandson, Jamie Buford; one sister, and five brothers. Her parents were William and Arnetta Armstrong Johnson.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, at Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
