Dewey Sasseen

Edwin Sasseen, age 80, of Paducah, Ky., died Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Terry Sills officiating. Entombment with military honors will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Mr. Sasseen was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member and deacon of West End Baptist Church since 1961, and longtime member of the Paducah Amateur Radio Association. He was also a talented musician, and retired Manager of the Wonder Stamp Store and SuperValu on Jackson Street.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Zelma Sutterfield Sasseen; two daughters, Cathy Ann Yates and husband, Phillip, and Denise Marie Reineking and husband, Kenneth, all of Paducah; one son, Robert Edwin Sasseen and wife, Mariellen, of Franklin, Tenn.; one sister, JoAnn Marie Honey of Carterville, Ill., and his twin brother, Ralph Edward Sasseen of Cairo, Ill.; and eight grandchildren, Christopher Yates, Samuel Yates, Bridget Copeland and fiancé Dale Garrett, Derek Melloy and wife Candace, Amy Reineking, and Wesley, David and Kelly Sasseen.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, Olen Dewey and Lillian Marie Moore Sasseen.
Visitation for Mr. Sasseen will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2010, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
