Daphyne Jackson, of Merritt Island died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Wuesthoff Hospice House in Rockledge, Fla., with her loving family by her side.
Mrs. Jackson was a long time secretary for Southern Textile Machinery Co., in Paducah, Kentucky. After moving to Florida in 1971, Mrs. Jackson became the manager of the National Fabric Co. in Merritt Island, Fla.
She was born on April 29, 1916, in Boaz, Ky. She was married to Buffard Jackson of Graves county for 58 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Pat Crute (Jerry) of Merritt Island; her granddaughter, Gina Loria (Mark), and her granddaughter, Tana Flickinger (Bruce); four great-grandchildren, all of Merritt Island; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buffard Jackson; her parents, Oscar and Lulye Thompson; her sister, Mabel Paschal and sister, Lee Nola Henson; and her brother, Jones M. Thompson.
Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, Kentucky is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Byrn Funeral Home with services immediately following with Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, in McCracken County, Ky.
