Catherine Janet Cornwell, 93, of Paducah, passed away at 11:19 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, at Baptist Health Paducah.
She was born in Ballard County, Ky.
Janet was retired from Lourdes hospital as a central supply tech with 26 years of service. She was a member of Christian Assembly Church in Millstadt, Ill. Janet became a Christian on October 2, 1947.
Janet is survived by her grandchildren, Billy Ray Cornwell Jr. of Paducah and Kathy Ann Fox of Scottsdale, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, Michael Stokley, Charles Henderson, and Nash Cornwell; great-great-granddaughter, Briley Stokley; two nieces, and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Othel Cornwell; two sons, James Vernon Cornwell and Billy Ray Cornwell Sr.; three sisters, Lucille Venters, Mary Fundaugh, and Margaret "Margie" Andrews, and one niece. Her parents were Euil Cargill and Jettie Harris Cargill.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. David Eli and Rev. Michael Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
