Carroll Cole

July 7, 1931 — June 22, 2010

Well done thou good and faithful Servant. These were the words that Carroll B. Cole heard on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 1:35 a.m. when his Lord and Savior called him to his eternal rest from Lourdes hospital.

Mr. Cole was a native of Canada. He was a retired U.S. Naval veteran and was a member of the American Legion and also a member of N.A.R.F. He was also a retired Federal Employee. He attended Highland Baptist Church.

Surviving are his devoted and loving wife, Bettie Tatum Cole; his two sons, Mike Cole and wife Pam of Laurens, S.C., and Jeffrey Cole and wife Karen of Xenia, Ohio; two brothers, Brian Cole and wife Frances of Boiling Springs, S.C., and Ivan Cole and wife Peggy of Kennebunk, Maine; four grandchildren, Contessa Cole Veenman and husband Dennis, Christopher Cole, Brett Cole and Daniel Cole; and one great-grandchild, Tabatha Veenman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Eugene Cole and Muriel Hazel McDowell Cole.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Keeling Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Beck officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Keeling Family Funeral Home.
