Services for Betty Ruth Clifton Crawford, 79, of Paducah, Ky., formerly of Marshfield, Mo., and Kansas City, Mo., will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Lone Oak United Methodist Church of Paducah. Dr. Ben Boone will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens of Paducah.

Mrs. Crawford died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2011, at Superior Care Home of Paducah.

Betty was born June 26, 1932, in Marshfield, Mo., to the late Edwin Clifton and Ruth Brixey Clifton. She was retired from the Cokesbury Book Store in Kansas City. She was the wife of the late Rev. Bill Crawford, who was a Methodist minister of 57 years serving several Missouri churches. She was a member of the United Methodist Women's Group and a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter KL of Independence, Mo.

She is survived by one daughter, Ruth E. Crawford Clark and husband, Phillip of Paducah; one son, Dan Crawford and wife, Lari Anne of Boonville, Mo.; three granddaughters, Julie Crawford of Boonville, Stacey Williamson Stallons of Charleston, S.C., and Kelli Williamson Prasuhn of St. Louis; two grandsons, James Crawford of Kansas City, Brendon Crawford of Boonville; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Lone Oak United Methodist Church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Alzheimer's Association, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchmans Ln., Ste. 401, Louisville, KY 40205-3284, Lone Oak United Methodist Church, 3835 Old U.S. Hwy. 45, Paducah, KY 42003 or to the Missouri churches that Rev. Bill Crawford had served.
