Barbara Herndon

Mrs. Barbara Herndon age 76 of Ashland, Ky. formerly of Mayfield passed away on Saturday at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. She was a retired employee with Kentucky State job services . She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mayfield and was a nursery attendant. Mrs. Herndon is survived by her son John ( Anne) Herndon of Flatwoods, Ky. , granddaughter Julia Herndon of Flatwoods, Ky. . She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Herndon, 1 sister Peggy Allred and her parents
J.R. "Pete" and Mary Gates Barley. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Mayfield Memory Gardens with Rev. Keith Allred officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday January 22, 2015 from 5-8 P.M. at Byrn Funeral Home.
