Auta Mae Elliott, 92, of Paducah, Ky., passed away at 6:01 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the Cox-Madding Care Home of Paducah, Ky.
She was born in Ballard County, Ky. Auta Mae was a member of the Lone Oak First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting and canning.
Auta Mae is survived by her son, James Duke Elliott, Jr. and wife, Jan of Paducah, Ky.; sister, Irene Ross of Kevil, Ky.; grandchildren, Laura Kay Blackman and husband, Larry of Paducah, Ky., and Brent Elliott of Lone Oak, Ky.; great-grandchildren, Logan Blackman of Boaz, Ky. and Tristina Brockway and husband, Thomas of Ft. Campbell, Ky.; great-great-grandchild, Kyland Brockway and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Duke Elliott; and a sister, Kathleen Myers. Her parents were Harry Lee Atherton and Lilly Mae Waters Atherton.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Willis Henson and Rev. Bob Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Home.
